It has been a hot minute since I last posted! Life has been busy these past few weeks - Spring Break, sick kiddos, life - but I'm baaaaack.
Last week I transitioned my closet from winter to spring, just in time for the incessant rain, wind storms, and temps to drop into the 40s. I mean, c'mon! Where's spring already? While going through my clothes that I packed up six months ago, I found an old pair of boyfriend jeans that I was thinking of getting rid of. But on second thought, I decided to transform them into a "new" pair of jeans.
I've been eyeing this pair of jeans from Levi's for a while now and was inspired to recreate them with my old pair. I found some great tips on Pinterest for creating the distressed jean look. I referred to this one for creating an uneven hem and this YouTube video for the distressed hem. The holes I made using a pair of scissors and figured over time they will become a bit more frayed.
All in all, I'm pleased with the result and am really glad I was able to take an old pair of jeans and transform them into something new and fresh. I'll definitely be wearing these all spring and summer (and I'm sure you'll see them in more posts).
